Hard work is a noble and necessary part of human life<\/strong>, integral to personal development, social justice, and spiritual growth. As Pope St. John Paul II said, “work is a key, probably the essential key, to the whole social question”. (Laborem Exersens, 3)<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Beginning with Pope Leo XIII’s seminal Rerum Novarum<\/a>, which addressed<\/span><\/span> the working conditions of the Industrial Revolution, the Church has maintained the dignity and irreplaceable nature of hard work.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Just as God \u2018worked\u2019 in the act of creation, we are called to work and contribute to the world.
